  • The Collective is a community of investors who help, support, and invest in the next generation of disruptive companies. The Collective is separate from Metagrove’s primary fund and exists to provide curated opportunities to investors who would not otherwise be able to access such companies.

  • Unlike the public markets, private investment opportunities are hard to come by for a lot of investors. We created The Collective to provide hard-to-find opportunities to our community so they can have a stake in high-growth companies, but also provide their support where they can to its founders.

  • You can invest as little as $1000, but the more you contribute, the larger your stake. Right now, we have no maximum size.

  • Absolutely. We will only provide these opportunities to you only if we (Metagrove) have skin in the game too.

  • Yes. When you register your interest with us, we’ll learn more about your background and experience. From this, we’ll be able to figure out if you have skills that can help our founders. If a company does require assistance and support, we’ll then pair them with you and we can go from there.

    We can’t underestimate enough how important help and support is to our founders.

  • Nope. 0%

  • This is currently in progress, but in general, we will offer discounted carry to existing LPs, while still providing competitive amounts to our non-LPs so everyone wins.

  • We consider companies in line with our mandate. See here for more info.

  • When a company is ready, they will let us know how much allocation of their round is allowed for the community. We will then notify you when you’re able to contribute.

  • Right now, yes. We accept investors from everywhere, but you must meet minimum guidelines in order to invest.

    An accredited investor is someone/entity that has:

    • $200,000+ solo income each of the two most recent years. OR

    • $300,000+ joint w/ spouse each of the two most recent years. OR

    • Net worth is at least $1,000,000. OR

    • Part of an organization with total assets in excess of $5,000,000

    We’re actively seeking ways to reduce these investment barriers.

  • The Collective is only the beginning. Eventually, we want to open this up to all investors (including retail) so that everyone has a chance to participate.

  • We get this question a lot.

    Right now, our investment vehicle only accepts fiat money. However, for the future, we’re actively looking at initiatives that will allow us to create DAOs to enable engagement into both on-chain and off-chain entities.
